INTERCORDIN. Here is a summary of the information sent to me .
INTERCORDIN
GENERIC NAME: carbocromen or carbocromenum or chromonar
hydrochloride
OTHER
PROPRIETARYS: Intensain, Cardiocap, Intencordin, Antiangor,
NAMES Intensacrom
USES: It is listed as a vasodilator which has
been used in ischaemic heart disease
DOSE: Varying dosage regimens have been used
but in general it is within the range
of 150 to 450mg daily by mouth
EFFICACY: Information is limited and its efficacy appears to
be poor. It has been withdrawn from many European markets (if it
ever got marketing approval). Substitute agents appear to be either
an organic nitrate or nifedipine.
