E-drug: Sampling drugstores (cont)

I agree that modern therapy in North America, Western Europe,
Australia and NZ for congestive heart failure includes an ACE
inhibitor and that digoxin is probably a second line drug but is this
the case in countries like Venezuela? Even in Canada there is still a
substantial minority of patients who are not prescribed an ACE
inhibitor. In all countries I would guess that a diuretic is part of
the standard regimen and therefore I would suggest looking at
prescriptions for furosemide or
other loop diuretics. This type of diuretic is used almost exclusively
in the treatment of congestive heart failure.
