E-DRUG: Satellite on Procurement and Supply Management of AIDS medicines

During the 14th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa
(ICASA), Abuja, 4 - 9 December 2005, WHO is pleased to inform you that
a Satellite on Procurement and Supply Management of AIDS medicines will
be organised on 4 December 10:00 - 12:00 at Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The
objective of this satellite is to highlight contributions made by AMDS
partners to strengthen the procurement and supply management systems
required to increase access to ARV treatment. The WHO AIDS Medicines
and Diagnostics Service (AMDS Secretariat), UNICEF, ESTHER, IDA, and JSI
will discuss their achievements as well as their challenges in their
effort to increase access to ARVs and other HIV -related commodities.
They will also share various tools developed for this area of work.
If you are in Abuja on 4 December 2005, you are welcome to participate
in this important meeting which will address among other issues,
challenges and the way forward to achieve universal access to treatment
and care for PLWHA.
