E-drug: selfmedication policies, guidelines, EDL? (cont'd)

Dear Wilbert,
Most General Practices in the UK issue their patients with a booklet
giving details of self medication for common ailments. In addition
the UK Government has issued a document called the NHS Direct
Healthcare Guide which is a handy reference for management of
most common symptoms. This guide gives three courses of action:
1. Self Care - when it is safe to manage the problem oneself
2. Call for advice
3. Ring the emergency services
