E-DRUG: South Africa now a PIC/S country

Dear all,
The Pharmaceutical Inspection Convention Scheme (PIC/S, see
http://www.picscheme.org/) has added South Africa to its list of members
since July 2007.
This is important for Global Fund projects considering to buy products, as
now South Africa is considered to have a "stringent" Drug Regulatory
Authority, and this means that the quality of products in that country are
acceptable to Global Fund.
So far, only Malaysia and Singapore were considered "stringent" regulatory
authorities in developing countries.
