E-drug: Antiretroviral advocacy

Hi fellow e-druggers! I am a clinical social worker based in New York
City. The organization I work for is very interested in various world
issues. Currently, I am beginning a project to advocate for
pharmaceuticals to facilitate dispersal of antiretrovirals and other
HIV-medications into countries in Africa and worldwide.
I am trying to answer the following questions: Which drugs are most
in demand? Who manufactures those drugs? and Which countries are
most in need? I realize these questions can all be subjective, but if
anyone has any research or even personal anecdotes and experience I
would be most grateful.
