E-drug: Traditional medicines (cont)
---------------------------------------------
Information about traditional medicines
The publications from the TM office at WHO within the EDM and HTP cluster
will certainly be helpful in relation to your area of interest, for
example, "Regulatory situation of Herbal medicines" WHO/TRM/98.1; "Research
guidelines for evaluating the safety and efficacy of herbal medicnes" as
well as "Quality control methods for medicinal plant material" are very
useful. I am sure Dr Zhang at the TM office at WHO will be able to assist
you more and provide you with these WHO publications. Moreover, the
National Center for Complementary & Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) at the
National Institute of Health in the US (currently the largest TM/CAM center
in the world in terms of funding) is also very useful in providing
information at http://nccam.nih.gov/
Yours sincerely
