E-drug: Treatment of Strep. pneumonia

I am looking for information on first and second line antibiotics
recommended for the treatment of pneumonia caused by Streptococcus
pneumoniae infection in children [under 5 years] and adults. I am
particularly interested in such treatment in developing countries.

[The WHO IMCI (Integrated Management of Childhood Illness) program
has been adopted in many developing countries and specifies
antibiotics for use for different levels of pneumonia. It does not
differentiate Strep. pneumonia but it might be useful to consult if
you are making policy. BS]
