E-drug: Universal code for drugs (cont'd)

The only coding system that I know of is the 'Read Codes', this is a
coding system using 7 numbers. It is used for coding diseases and
treatments. As far as I am aware, the only place it is used is within
computers to convert one code to another. It's rather unwieldy and
little used even in the UK. When I last looked at it, there wasn't a ar
code version, but that was about 6 years ago.
