Dear All

We are about to update the WHO drug use database.
We are now searching for the grey literature, not published in peer-reviewed journals.
I would be grateful if you could send me any reports that you may have of drug use surveys done by government or other agencies in any country of your respective regions.

If you are not able to send electronic copies please contact me and I will advise how to send hard copies.

As you know we are looking for drug use surveys that report the INRUD or
IMCI indicators which we extract to show general trends (over time and
by region, facility ownership, prescriber type etc.) with regard to use of medicines.

Trends over 1990-2006 were published in the WHO publication
'Medicines use in primary care in developing and transitional countries:
fact book summarizing results from studies reported between 1990 and 2006'
available at
http://apps.who.int/medicinedocs/en/m/abstract/Js16073e/ .

Now we wish to update this analysis for studies between 2006-2015.
Therefore I would be grateful if you could send any studies that you may have from the period 2007-2015. We do not identify any individual studies in our analyses of the database.

Please pass this message onto anyone who you feel may have been doing
drug use surveys.

Many thanks for your help in this matter.

Best wishes
Kathy
