E-DRUG: US FDA banned drug list? (2)
--------------------------------------------
There is a 'global' list of this nature, namely :
The UN Consolidated list of Products Banned Whose Consumption and / or
sale have been banned, withdrawn, severely restricted or not approved by
governments.
This is compiled by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs
(EcoSoc), United Nations , New York, published every other year with
input on Pharmaceutical products from the World Health Organization. In
the interim years, WHO brings out an update to the UN publication of the
previous year. These WHO Updates can be accessed at :
http://www.who.int/medicines/areas/quality_safety/safety_efficacy/pharm_
restrictions/en/index.html
The last (print) version of the UN Consolidated List that we received
here in WHO was the Eighth Issue, printed in 2003.
Newer short versions, April 2007 and September 2007 (with only the
latest updates) of this UN publication will be available online at the
URL http://www.un.org/esa/coordination/public.htm
Developing countries can obtain a free copy of these short versions by
