Dear E-Drug members,
At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the USAID-funded Medicines,
Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program was on the
frontlines supporting USAID's rapid response in 13 countries. As part of
our Global Learning Series, we are hosting a webinar on the lessons
emerging from this process.
Join us on June 3, 2021, at 9 am EST, for a roundtable conversation with
government counterparts and other partners to share insights from their
experience of the joint COVID-19 response - what worked, what didn't work,
and what we could do to improve emergency preparedness and health system
resilience in countries. You will hear the perspectives of Ministries of
Health officials, USAID representatives, and the MTaPS COVID-19 response
team on the MTaPS' COVID-19 response in Bangladesh, Cameroon, Cote
d'Ivoire, Kenya, and the Philippines.
Roundtable Participants
Dr. Samina Choudhury, Project Management Specialist, USAID Bangladesh
Dr. Aninda Rahman, Deputy Program Manager, Communicable Disease Control,
Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare, Bangladesh
Dr. Evelyn Wesangula, Head - Division of Patient and Health Workers Safety
and Antimicrobial Resistance Focal Point, Ministry of Health, Kenya
Prof. Nathalie Guessennd, Head of the National Reference Centre for
Antibiotics, Cote d'Ivoire
Andre Zagorski, MTaPS COVID-19 Response Team Lead (Moderator)
