[e-drug] UWC 2020 Short Course & Online Module Pharmaceutical Policy & Management

E-DRUG: UWC 2020 Short Course & Online Module Pharmaceutical Policy & Management
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear E-Druggers,

I am very pleased to post this announcement for the short face to face and long distance learning courses about Pharmaceutical Policy and Management being offered at the University of Western Cape in South Africa. Last year I taught on both of these courses and I found them to be very interesting. As you would expect from courses like these, participants bring their experience and insights to the discussions and contribute to learning. The short course in Cape Town included Western Cape residents and others from both inside and outside South Africa. For the long course there was an equal number of insiders and outsider from South Africa. One interesting insight was how little interest there was among South Africans in the topic of medicine pricing while for outsiders this was a hot topic! Looking at the American situation I can just wish that the US copied what South Africa has done both in the public and private sectors!

It is possible to enrol for both or either courses but if travelling is a problem, the distance learning version may be more convenient. Please note that this course is registered for Continuing Education credits.

I hope to see some E-Druggers at the short course and to interact on line during the long course.

Best wishes to all
