E-DRUG: Vacancy: Drug Regulation Specialists - Philippines

With this advertisement we call for applications of health sector
professionals for the following envisaged position within the framework
of a project in the Philippines:
Drug Regulation Specialists
Provision of technical support for strengthening the regulatory and
technical capacity of relevant administrative institutions. This
includes facilitation of the review and update of drug and medicine
regulations, assessing current status of administrative institutions
and developing recommendations on how to strengthen their legal mandate
and capacity, supporting organisational and / or managerial reforms and
reforms to set up sustainable financing systems, assessing current
quality control and quality assurance systems to ensure quality of
medicines and prevent the distribution of substandard products,
facilitating collaboration with other technical agencies (e.g. WHO),
monitoring and evaluation of reforms
The following requirements are mandatory:
- University degree in drug regulation sector or relevant subjects;
- very good command of English language;
- minimum of 10 years work experience, 5 years in South-East Asian
countries;
- extensive experience in implementing projects for international
donors (EU, AsDB or World Bank) and/or bilateral development agencies;
- excellent management and communication skills.
Provisional commencement date of projects is December 2006/January
2007.
