Dear E Druggers

in 2013 the medicines patent pool announced the wonderful news about a 90%
price reduction for Roche's Valcyte(TM) tablets to facilitate access to
treatment of CMV infections in 138 countries.

The HIV program here in Laos under the MOH has been trying to get into
this pooled deal for our 2014 order of OI drugs but so far we have been
receiving emails between representatives who will contact Roche Head
office. And so on. Perhaps the quantity is too small.

Would appreciate to know how other countries/programs have benefitted from
the deal so far.

Or an update from the medicines patent pool about the implementation.
