Thank you for having forwarded me the request regarding examples of
national policies on health-care waste management.
I do have some examples of technical guidelines on health-care waste
management, but these are rather bulky documents, and I do not have
electronic versions (and often they are not in English). Many
countries have only prepared such technical guidelines rather than
policy documents. Regulations of health-care waste management are
often mentioned in a multitude of legislative texts, rather than in
one single text.
The WHO publication "Safe management of wastes from health-care
activities" contains a chapter on the proposed content of
regulations. It is chapter 4, and is available on-line, in the
below web address, under "health-care waste" and "publications".
