Good Governance in the pharmaceutical sector, the case of Thailand and Malawi
Good governance in the pharmaceutical sector is recognized as essential to ensure access to affordable, quality medicines within the universal health coverage framework. Experience with the Good Governance for Medicines (GGM) programme provides insight into understanding how good governance can impact on the availability and affordability of quality medicines. Thailand and Malawi are organizing a side event at the 66th World Health Assembly to present their experiences with GGM. In addition the results of the evaluation of the global GGM programme will be presented.
The event will take place on Monday 20 May, 2013 from 18.00 to 19.30 in Room XII, Building A Palais des Nations. English and French interpretation will be available. Please do share this information with your colleagues and country delegations who will attend the WHA so that they can participate to this side event.
