This Wall Street Journal article is cross-posted from the IP-HEALTH
list as "fair use". The issue is an important one - there are other ACTs
available, apart from Novartis' Co-artem, but will African and Asian
countries de-register artemesinin monotherapies? In the absence of a
working medicine regulatory system, how will unregulated private sector
sales, from drug sellers and market stalls rather from pharmacies, be
stopped?
