-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Title: WHO EURO 2017 report of the Health Technologies and Pharmaceuticals programme
The Health Technologies and Pharmaceuticals (HTP) Programme at the WHO Regional Office for Europe is pleased to share the newly published 2017 annual report. This new report describes the support the HTP programme provided to the 53 Member States in 2017. The support focused on data analysis, evidence generation and policy action. The HTP programme also provided technical assistance on updating legislation and regulation, and on improving access to medicines and medical devices.
Pharmaceuticals represent large budget components for health systems, and sustainable access is high on the agenda in many countries in the WHO European Region.
Throughout 2017, the Regional Office organized various consultations and trainings on the use of methodologies, policies and regulation, and helped shape policy reform at both national and subregional levels.
The WHO Regional Office for Europe supports 53 countries in the Region.
