E-DRUG: Workshop: Forecasting and Quantification of Essential Health Commodities (French version), Paris, 16-21 2013

Dear e-drug members,
i+solutions will organize a workshop on Forecasting and Quantification of Essential Health Commodities in Paris, France from 16 to 21 June, 2013. The 5-day training is given in French language and consists of extensive practical exercises. A discount of 200 euros for early registration is offered till 21 April. The registration will be closed on 19 May, 2013.
The course targets those responsible for the quantification components of the supply chain especially, pharmacists and pharmaceutical buyers, physicians, senior health system managers and technical assistance professionals from governmental and non-governmental organizations. Those managing Drug Supply Organizations (DSO) and Hospitals will benefit from the course.
The workshop addresses the major challenges faced during quantification and aims at building participants’ capacity to master the forecasting and quantification processes, together with a deep analysis of the data required and the appropriate procurement planning process.
OBJECTIVES
- Demonstrate how an adequate forecasting and quantification plan can address the stocks out/overstock situations.
- Demonstrate the quantification process and conduct quantification using both the consumption and morbidity based quantification methods.
- Recognize the characteristics of good quantification systems.
- Establish and maintain an efficient forecasting and quantification plan suitable for their work settings.
- Monitor and evaluate the quantification processes.
