E-DRUG: Penicillin allergy (2)
------------------------------
Penicillin allergy or any drug allergy indeed, is usually more frequent
in those with atopic backgrounds, even more if the background is
specifically drug allergy. Some interesting papers about genetic
involvement in allergy expression are those of Dr. Marsh, published in
Clinical Allergy and Immunology from Middleton (the version I have is
1988, probably there's a new one).
I will gratefully try to collect more current information on the topic
and send it to you as I worked for many years as Allergy Specialist.
