I guess I have a data you are looking for.
I am from Georgia (CIS) and a couple of years ago conducted survey regarding overuse/misuse of antibiotics in treatment for ARI/DD. The results were catastrophic.
As a result special training of doctors as well as public awareness campaign has been carried out and the impact was measured later (outcomes look quite optimistic).
Recently we finished special program: ARI/DD Case Management Network in the City of Tbilisi aiming to achieve higher cost-effectiveness and correct usage of antibiotics was the core point in the design.
I'm not sure whether it's anecdotal or not, but we had a lot of cases when simple ARI case (<2 years old children) was treated by three or even four antibiotics (oral and injections).
So if you consider aforementioned interesting, I'll be glad to share it with you.
