7th Annual East African Regional Workshop: Cell Biology of Protozoan Parasites

6-19 July 2008 in Morogoro, Tanzania

The American Society for Cell Biology is teaming up with Sokoine University and Seattle Biomedical Research Institute to convene a special workshop on the Cell Biology of Protozoan Pathogens. An international faculty will lead a two-week workshop to train young African scientists in basic and applied research on protozoan pathogens, including malaria parasites and trypanosomes. The workshop will emphasize training young scientists in cutting edge concepts and laboratory techniques, and senior faculty will partner with trainees to develop research proposals.

Applications are due by 4 April, 2008

Selected students who reside in East Africa are sponsored to attend the workshop.
