*Call for nominations: Awards for Action
The *Awards for Action on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights* — jointly awarded by the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network and Human Rights Watch — recognize excellence and long-term commitment to work having a direct impact on HIV/AIDS and human rights issues, in particular work that is of direct relevance to marginalized individuals and communities. An award is presented annually to one Canadian and one international recipient.
The winners will be announced at the opening of the Legal Network’s Annual General Meeting and Annual Symposium on HIV, Law and Human Rights in Toronto on June 11, 2010.
Nominations are invited both for individuals and organizations working at the community level and for those operating at national and international levels. Nominations may be submitted in English, French, Spanish or Russian.
Nominations must be received before* 5 p.m. ET on Monday, May 3, 2010*.
