The course is designed for Clinical Officers, Nurses, Environmental Officers, Laboratory Technologists and Public Health Officers.
Overall objective of the course:
The main objective of this course is to provide an up-date in clinical management, prevention and control of Malaria through the acquisition of knowledge and practical skills.
Course organisation
The course is sub-divided into four main units;
* Unit 1 provides an overview on the challenges of malaria and its impact on socio-economic development.
* Unit 2 covers clinical aspects of malaria including diagnosis and patient management of Malaria.
* Unit 3 covers control and prevention measures of Malaria.
* Unit 4 covers planning, management and monitoring malaria control programmes/intervention
