Estimation or guestimation? (11)

I think Victor Mseleni has made an important point about the differing
bits of data international agencies dish out.
My concern is that whoever brings up such data must show sufficient
reason and scientific justification for the estimate/guestimate that
they provide. Secondly rather than having them meeting to agree on what
guestimates should be provided for us by all, maybe much more work
needs to be done at determining and producing more accurate and reli-
able data rather than accepting that data will always be variable.
