The Demographic and Health Surveys Program (DHS) has recently developed
a Web site on research findings related to female genital cutting:

The site features a summary of DHS results on genital cutting, news of
upcoming surveys that will include questions on cutting, and statisti-
cal tables. More detailed information on our research is presented in
the report "Female Genital Cutting: Findings from the Demographic and
