Follow up to 'Into the next century...' (2)
-------------------------------------------
Probably most of the AFRO-NETS participants already know this. The
theme of the Second European Congress on Tropical Medicine to be held
from Sept. 14-18, 1998 at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
(LSTM), UK is "TROPICAL HEALTH FOR THE 21ST CENTURY: CLONE, CURE AND
CONTROL".
E-mail: Professor M. Hommel <sjo@liv.ac.uk> or <eurocong@liv.ac.uk>.
I think the SYMPOSIA section contains most of the concerns of Interna-
tional Health in 21st Century. The International Health Division (IHD)
of LSTM is also closely involved. As far as I know the Head of the IHD
Dr. Paul Garner is chairing the session on 'Evidence-based practice and
policies in infectious diseases' along with others. This is one of the
methodologies/topics which will be, I think, quite popular in 21st Cen-
tury Tropical Medicine and International Health given its popularity in
Europe.
