Into the next century...

Dear Afro-nets subscribers,
I'll soon be putting together a graduate course on 'Topics in interna-
tional health' for Boston University's School of Public Health, aimed
at international MPH students. One of the 'topics' I would like to in-
clude is a look at what current public health trends can tell us about
what the main issues in international health will be in the next cen-
tury -- well OK, maybe just the next decade...
I'd be very interested in the views of the readers of this list on the
subject. What do you think are the 2 or 3 most important trends and /
or issues facing international public health for the year 2000 and be-
yond? What will Afro-nets subscribers (and others in international pub-
lic health) be worrying about and working on in 2020?
I'll be happy to try to produce a digest of what the group thinks the
main issues and trends are.
