Help for a Health Research Web site
-----------------------------------

Dear colleagues and friends,

The Global Forum for Health Research has been in existence for about 11
months and is now working on a Web site. The work of the Global Forum
centers on lessening the 10/90 gap in health research. This gap refers
to the fact that only 10% of the money that the world spends on health
research goes to research the health problems of the poor and sick. Our
work stresses the need to support capacity building in the South and to
use a five step process to help determine what health research should
be supported by countries and donors.

As we develop our site, I would like to ask, especially from our
friends in the South, what information they would like to see on the
site that would be useful to them. I also need to know what works and
what doesn't work well for users of the site. Thanks for circulating
this to web users who work in health and particularly in research. We
may not be able to carry out all of your suggestions, but we will do
what we can.

Thanks for your help and for the good work you all do,

Elizabeth
