Enhanced Website for Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Initiative in Ghana

The Ghana Health Service is pleased to announce a major enhancement of its web site for the Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Initiative as part of strengthening health systems in Ghana.

The site now includes new features, including:
. improved maps, tables, and graphs charting CHPS coverage and progress by district and region
. easy-to-access tools for evaluating CHPS implementation in the districts
. expanded information on the history of CHPS
. easy-to-read explanations of CHPS milestones and components, along with multi-media videos showing CHPS milestones in action
. Innovation in CHPS implementation in districts that are advancing rapidly with the programme
. latest news and links to helpful resource materials
Our goal is to continue to distribute CD-ROM formatted quarterly updates of the site to all District Health Management Teams in Ghana, and to improve understanding of CHPS processes and progress in the process. We therefore invite your feedback on ways to improve the site further. Also, we welcome material on CHPS innovations and activities that you may wish to share with other district, regional, and international subscribers.
