New CHPSS website on Poverty, Health & Development

Dear All
Your kind attention is drawn to our new but growing web-
site on: "Understanding Poverty, Health and Development in Africa".
The primary goal of the site is to: Help ordinary people to easily
comprehend the policy and practical dimensions of poverty, its
measurement and interplay with health and development.
The objectives of the site are to: Generate interest in the public
(internet community) at large in the subject of poverty. Build and
strengthen capacity for critical but simple analysis of the causes
and dimensions of poverty in Africa. Galvanise more people to take
social and political action against poverty in Africa.
Root analysis and 'Voices and Visions' sketches from real people and
events are copiously used to try to meet these objectives. Emphasis
is placed on clarity and best practices.
The site needs your contribution and critical comments to grow and to
