Job posting for Save the Children - HIV/AIDS Health Advisor

Save the Children, a US and international child-centered relief and
development agency seeks a HIV/AIDS Health Advisor to work in our
Washington DC or Westport, CT office. Incumbent will provide techni-
cal leadership for the health components of an expanding portfolio of
HIV/AIDS program activities and will serve as a key member of Save
the Children cross-sector HIV/AIDS team. The incumbent will work di-
rectly with the Office of Health and field staff to develop policies,
strategies and activities to address the health-related aspects of
HIV/AIDS programs, identify potential sources of funding and monitor
funding levels, provide technical support for health-related HIV/AIDS
field activities, disseminate technical information, and assist in
proposal development. Additionally, the incumbent will play a leader-
ship role in assessing needs and developing capacity building plans
for Home Office, Area and Field Office health staff.

Requirements:
* Masters Degree in Public Health or related field;
* 8-10 years of international health program design, management, and
  evaluation experience, with at least 3-5 years of HIV/AIDS focused
  work;
* up-to-date knowledge of HIV prevention, transmission, and care;
* excellent program planning and proposal writing skills;
* strong monitoring and evaluation skills; and
* working knowledge of HIV/AIDS program indicators and results frame-
  works.
