The Reproductive Health Research Unit (RHRU) is one of the foremost
South African Research Institutions engaged primarily in research and
training in the field of reproductive health. The RHRU Durban satel-
lite office is looking for a senior researcher to join its contracep-
tive research and development team. Studies include effects of hormo-
nal contraception on bone mass, pregnancy and STD prevention efficacy
studies, female condom prototype development and pharmacokinetics
studies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Management of the research component of studies
* Analysis of data
* Report and paper writing
* Development of new protocols and proposals
* Writing grant applications
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER CRITERIA:
* Minimum postgraduate degree
* Background in reproductive health
* Experience in analysis of data sets using Epi-Info, SPSS or STATA
* Proven writing skills
* Driver's licence
