"Living well with HIV/AIDS" (2)

These guidelines on nutritional care in people living with HIV/AIDS
are very well summarized and easy to understand. However as a physi-
cian from a developing country who has been looking after HIV/AIDS
sufferers I believe we have to adopt a more pragmatic approach than
just issuing guidelines. The cost of the outlined nutritional foods
is simply out of reach of most victims. If you do not have money to
buy the ingredients and you do not have the strength to work in a
farm everything else becomes impractical. Let us get our priorities
right. I would be happy to hear what other physicians think.
