"Living well with HIV/AIDS" (6)
-------------------------------
Dear All,
I agree with Dr. Mwangi. For poor Africa ravaged by wars, disease and
poverty such a manual is practical if the governments are to provide
feeding programmes for the poor and affected. Last week I was going
through the definition of poverty as far as Zambia is concerned -
those living on less than a dollar a month. One is shocked to realise
that 80% of the 10.2 million population are living under the poverty
datum line. This is the same population that has to buy such nutri-
tious food. It is not possible. We have seen this with diabetics who
have to maintain a certain level of sugar by the king of foods they
eat.
Thank you,
Peter Songolo
