Long postings on AFRO-NETS (6)
------------------------------
[In closing the discussion on 'long postings' we should also have in
mind our colleagues from remote rural areas in Africa. D.N. Mod.]:

Yes, there are some of us who receive our e-mail at 1,200 BPS - and
that is if the telephone connection to the capital city is not inter-
rupted during the download.
So, please, length is an important factor for people in Africa - not
only time, but also money. Perhaps Claudio should offer an abstract
for the listserv and then send the full text to those who really want
it.

[That's exactly what we have suggested to Claudio. D.N. Mod.]

Over the last four years, I have selected to archive a selection of
112 postings from the superb work of AFRO-NETS. Occasionally, I draw
a resource from this mail folder, as a reference or to further a de-
bate in other related spheres. 16 of the 112 postings have Claudio's
name in the "sender box".
I concur that it is time to close the discussion on "long postings",
as several good suggestions have been made in this regard.
Let's come back to discussion on content!
