Mosquito/Malaria Control (2)

Dear Bill,
I more or less asked you that question a bit over a month ago.
Here is a rather modified version of what I inquired of you:
"You have aroused our interest. We cannot wait to hear from you.
What is this 'very efficient' method of mosquito control? In
Uganda, there has been a raging debate on whether or not to use
DDT for indoor spraying. Government is still trying to adduce
more evidence before taking a final decision to have limited
spraying in some parts of Uganda. Despite environmentalists' de-
mand to have DDT banned, some countries have no doubt gone ahead
to use it with good results. WHO has virtually endorsed this in-
door spraying as a safe method."
So, that brings me to ask you again for your "new" or "not-so-
new" cost-effective formula or re-discovery - outdoor-spraying,
I guess. Please tell us, for it is a life-and-death matter to
our countries.
How was it possible in the US 60 years ago without bednets? How
about today? Let us discuss!
