Recruiting doctors from poor countries... (3)
---------------------------------------------
People who have the skills, knowledge and capability which enable
them to see the "bigger picture" have a responsibility to do
something about it. Taking one's skills where one can make more
money or be more comfortable, as opposed to taking them where
they are most needed, is selling out, and I'm disheartened at how
acceptable this has become.
We train people with OUR future in mind - Africans have a collec-
tive responsibility to work together, and those who have had the
opportunities of studying and bettering themselves intellectually
have the responsibility to work towards bettering the lot of
those who did not.
We need to work together to make our pastures greener, and the
more brains draining, the more difficult it is for those who stay
to combat the drought.
