RFI: African Health Research Networks (4)
-----------------------------------------
Dear Baiden:
Thank you for disagreeing with me (although I do not quite know why).
"Uncharitable" is a very strong word, don't you agree?
I asked a question of the Prof. I did not urge you or anyone in Af-
rica not to do the Prof's work for him pro bono (never mind that the
Prof. as a CONSULTANT (not student/researcher) will be amply rewarded
while his uncompensated "helpers" in Africa will continue to scratch
for funds to buy a new writing material.) If you want to "help" him,
please do so. I strongly encourage you to.
I hope though that some day on this list, subscribers will debate the
"fairness" of the practice of well-rewarded consultants in the devel-
oped world asking poorly-rewarded Africans IN Africa to assist them
in their FOR-PROFIT ventures without mentioning a word about compen-
sating the Africans in Africa for their labor.
Oh well, there is of course heaven where your reward may lie.
Best wishes.
