The Positive Place (HIV+) in Nigeria
------------------------------------

Dear All,

I am writing for information on the possibility of funding and mate-
rial assistance for a project that we have identified to be of utmost
need and important to our people in Nigeria.

The project is the setting up of "THE POSITIVE PLACE" a drop in, sup-
port and care centre for people living with HIV in Nigeria.

You all know about the importance of care and support for people with
HIV and we are very keen to work on anything that will enable people
with HIV to get together, happier and healthier through the rest of
their life.

The positive place is a space where all people who have HIV or would
like to talk to someone about HIV can go for confidential advice,
support, care or just have a cup of tea and a chat. It would provide
resources on HIV/AIDS programmes/activities and works. It is also es-
pecially important that the positive place would be run by people
living with HIV in the area.

We would like to know whether any organization/individual would con-
sider providing technical or financial assistance for such a project.
If so, how should we apply for the necessary assistance? Please pro-
vide us with the relevant application forms, if appropriate.

Should any be unable to help us, we would be grateful if any could
recommend other organizations and individuals which may be interested
in our proposal.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Joy Adaku Uwalaka Collins
