Vacancy: Program Health Manager Mozambique

Save the Children, a development and relief agency seeks a
Health Program Manager. The Child Survival and Reproductive
Health Program Manager is responsible for the overall management
and oversight of the project. S/he will provide vision, and
leadership; supervise project implementation and serve as the
principal interlocutor with USAID.
Responsibilities include
* representing SC and the Maternal Child Health and Nutrition
project in formal and informal relationships with USAID;
* lead the preparation of annual work plans;
* supervise project planning, implementation, monitoring and
evaluation;
* manage sub-grant agreements;
* ensure efficient systems are in place to support all aspects
of project activity; and supervise key personnel of the MCH and
Nutrition project.
Requires
* minimum 10 years' professional experience in leadership roles
with responsibility for the overall management and implementa-
tion of complex health programs in developing countries and com-
plex emergency settings;
* advanced degree in a relevant field;
* strong background in management of maternal and child health
programs;
* experience/skills in quality improvement, health care delivery
and community-based approaches;
* experience managing USG funding with familiarity of federal
regulations, particularly umbrella and sub-grant management;
* fluency in English and Portuguese is required; and
* experience in Africa highly desirable.
