Whose Charity? Africa's aid to the NHS

Save the Children's research suggests that Ghana alone loses
doctors and nurses that deliver services that the NHS values at
around £39 million a year. In comparison, the UK has saved £65
million in training costs by recruiting Ghanaian doctors since
1998 and one child in every ten dies before the age of five com-
pared to one in every 150 in the UK. Act now to demand that the
UK Government financially compensate countries for the staff
that work in the NHS. Tell John Hutton MP, Health Minister in
