"Words of Light"-Poetry by Young Women on HIV/AIDS Wanted
---------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friends:

"Words of Light" has been established to give girls - the most
vulnerable population to HIV infection - a forum to express
their feelings and thoughts about what is happening to them.
They are thoughts and feelings we need to know if we are going
to change the tide regarding HIV/AIDS.

As the deadline for submissions approaches, I am hoping that
your organizations will join me in encouraging our girls to par-
ticipate in this contest. Besides the spiritual and personal
value, there is also a financial benefit (see below). Please en-
courage sisters, daughters, cousins, friends to write. Thank you
for your time and help!

Please submit work to: mailto:AIDSoutofAFRICA@aol.com

your light to the sum of light. Do it with patience and love,
and respect for the depth and difficulty of the task."
