The workshop/course, jointly supported by the European Commission, DG-
XII INCO-DC Programme and the University of Camerino, is intended for
young scientists (20 Africans and 10 Europeans) interested to the top-
ics, with or without previous direct experience in the field.

Each "lecture" or subject is in principle conceived as theoretical 'ex
cathedra' teaching (not more than 30%) and practical examples/exercises
to make sure that the message passed.

Applications should reach us before December 31st 1998, by fax or e-
mail or surface mail (see address below). Travel and subsistence ex-
penses of accepted applicants who cannot count on institutional support
will be fully covered by the organisers.
