Workshops - Evaluating educational interventions for HIV/AIDS

A series of workshops to support evidence-based decision-making in
the development, application and evaluation of educational interven-
tions for HIV/AIDS prevention will be held in South Africa during
May, July and September 2001.
The programme of workshops is being organised by the Social Science
Research Unit of the Institute of Education, University of London.
The workshops aim to enable and encourage evidence-based decision-
making in the important area of educational interventions for
HIV/AIDS prevention.
These residential workshops will be open to policy makers, educa-
tional and health care practitioners, and researchers based in: An-
gola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa,
Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Funds are available to
cover the training, travel and accommodation costs of 24 workshop
participants. Successful applicants will be required to attend three,
5-day workshops held during May, July and September in Pretoria,
South Africa.
