E-DRUG: Academic Detailing -- Best Practices and Innovative Approaches
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am surveying individuals involved in Academic Detailing (AD)
activities to gather information about international best practices and
innovative approaches to academic detailing (AD). The AD should be
focused on physicians who prescribe to patients living in the community,
rather than AD activities designed to influence prescribing for hospital
inpatients or other institutionalized patients. The AD program/project
could be based in a hospital.
This survey is part of a project sponsored by Health Canada and is for
the Canadian Academic Detailing Collaboration (CADC), a group
representing the five academic detailing programs established throughout
Canada. The information obtained from these interviews will be compiled
into a synthesis document on AD programs and will form the basis for
further components of the research project. We will provide a copy of
this synthesis document to survey participants.
If you would like to participate, please email me directly by October
18, 2004 with your contact information and a brief description of your
AD program or project or its website. Phone interviews (~45-60 minutes)
will be scheduled in mid-late October and in November. The interviews
will be conducted only in English.
Thank you.
