E-DRUG: AIDS 2012 Event on Supply and Demand of HIV/AIDS Commodities
-----------------------------------------------------------------
USAID and PFSCM are co-hosting a satellite session at the International
AIDS Conference in Washington, D.C.: "Supply and Demand of HIV/AIDS
Commodities: Can the Global Market and National Supply Chains Support
Continued Rapid Scale-up of HIV/AIDS Treatment?"
Date and Time: Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Location: Walter E. Washington Conference Center, Mini Room 2
Description
Can supply chains meet the challenge of 15 x 15? The international
community has agreed to this goal of universal access. If donors
increase funding to provide treatment to 15 million, can a sufficient
volume of ARVs and other commodities be manufactured and distributed in
target countries? Will national supply chains be able to receive and
distribute many times the current volumes?
