E-DRUG: APPG on HIV & AIDS: Call to Evidence for Access to Medicines
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on HIV and AIDS have published a Call to Evidence for Access to Medicines in the Developing World (available here:
http://www.appghivaids.org.uk/sites/default/files/pdf/2014/calltoevidence.pdf
as part of the 'Universal Access - The Treatment Time Bomb Part II' enquiry. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 19th March 2014, 9am.

The inquiry focuses particularly on the issue of access to medicines and diagnostics for HIV and more specifically what measures can be taken to reduce their price to enable more efficient health systems. The APPG would like to go back to the recommendations of its 2009 report 'The Treatment Time Bomb'
http://www.appghivaids.org.uk/events/timebomb.html
and assess what progress has been made since, with regards to international access to HIV medicines and diagnostics and pricing, and to highlight any emerging challenges.

The Call to Evidence is available here:

Submissions should be emailed to the group's Policy Advisor, Susie Pelly at: Susie.pelly@parliament.uk

If you have any queries about the report or require further information please contact Susie at the email address above, or by calling 020 72195670.
