E-drug: Banned drugs, exported from Germany
--------------------------------------------
Dear E-DRUG- colleagues,
This is a request for information about drugs which are banned in
Germany but nevertheless are exported from Germany. We are checking
the effectiveness of the German export-control-regulation. Our
control-authorities told us they are working effectively. If German
companies sell drugs which are banned in Germany in the Third World or
Eastern Europe, they are produced by subsidiaries of German companies
in other countries and not exported from Germany. We want to check
whether this claim is correct.
We want to find out if we are right to focus on the subject of
export-surveillance any longer and we need some examples of exported
drugs which are banned in Germany.
The only way to find out if a drug is exported from Germany is to look
at the package: Has it Made in Germany on the label? For us it is
impossible to find out. Therefore it is very important for us to get
help from people in the importing countries.
Do you know about drugs which are banned in Germany like for example
- dipyrone in combination
- barbiturate-combinations
- all barbiturates with other indications than epilepsy and
pre-medication in anaesthesia
- all drugs with the ingredient rubia tinctorum (madder root)
or other drugs which should be banned and probably are?
Are they produced in Germany? If not, where produced?
I would be happy about any answer which might help us to get on to the
track of banned drugs which are exported from Germany.
Best wishes for a nice whitsun-weekend!
